Called to Testify

You and I have heard and seen the goodness of God, have we not? We have witnessed His glory. And He, in His wisdom and mercy, sets us in situations with people who need to know Him personally. In those moments, we may feel the ‘call to testify’. I’m not talking about crushing folks with our theological blows and wowing them with our spiritual superiority. I’m talking about engaging in authentic, relational conversation and remaining sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit amidst it.

Getting Off the Couch

As cosy as our home is, comfort will not cause us to grow. And the Great Commission will not be fulfilled while we are in our jammies. ‘Go’ is a vital part of the instruction. And truly, isolation leads to spiritual deconstruction: we’ve made the enemy’s efforts so much easier when we refuse to leave the house.

Happy Obedience

I have long seen Joseph as a type of Christ, his life given for the salvation of many. But today I see Joseph as a type of us, too. Joseph was so secure in his sonship, so confident in his father’s love, that he happily carried out his wishes, even if that made him a target for the jealousies of others.
